I have been using Java for Dummies to learn the basics of Java programming, and ran into an issue.import javax.swing.JOptionPane; public class Greeter { public void sayHello() { JOptionPane.showMessageDialogue(null, <<Hello, World!>>, <<Greeter>>, JOptionPane.INFORMATION_MESSAGE) ; } }
I got an error on line 8. A red underline under most of it.
In the book, the code looks the same but the double caret things look more condensed. Is that special syntax for Java? Is it one character, or two less/greater than symbols?
This specifically "<<" and ">>" around words.
Thanks.

It should be quotes. (") All String values should be contained within "quotes".

That fixed that line, but now the line above it, line 7, has the term "showMessageDialogue" underlined red.
